Support for awarness on vasculitis
SUPPORT MY JOURNEY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR RESEARCH IN SUPPORT OF VASCULITIS!
Dear Family and Friends,
Join me on Saturday June 22nd, 2019, as I will be participating in the annual “26 Reasons” to Walk and picnic for the Vasculitis Foundation Canada (VFC), in Cambridge’s beautiful Riverside Park, alongside other walkers to help increase vasculitis awareness while helping to raise much needed research funds.
Vasculitis is a family of about 26 separate rare autoimmune diseases, but related, within the larger family of about 115 arthritic diseases, and is neither contagious nor hereditary. Vasculitis causes inflammation of the blood vessel walls, thereby reducing the blood supply and causing tissue and organ damage, which can lead to death. Vasculitis is more common than you think, and sadly deaths do occur.
The Vasculitis Foundation Canada (VFC) was founded by volunteers in 1998, to assist and educate patients and their families living with rare and life-threatening vasculitis diseases. Today VFC’s volunteers still focus on patients, assisting them to care for and take control of their disease, but also to encourage and support research efforts to identify the cause and cure of all types of vasculitis.
This is why the annual “26 Reasons” to walk event is so important to me, and why I’m asking for your HELP in order to make it STOP by making a donation to the VFC today. Every dollar counts towards the VFC’s investment in patient research, awareness, and education, so that every adult and child with the disease can live to fullest, and ultimately one day be cured.
My personal goal is to raise $100.00 CAD, Help find a cause and cure for Vasculitis by making a donation today. 100% of every dollar you donate goes towards vasculitis awareness, education, and critical Vasculitis research.
